The Værløse strap is a tribute to Flyvestation Værløse, the former Danish military airbase north of Copenhagen, and to a piece of JELSDAL family history.

Our founder’s grandfather, Ib Jelsdal, worked as a blacksmith at the airbase, where craftsmanship, precision and military aviation came together. The strap takes its inspiration from the classic single-pass nylon straps traditionally associated with military aviation, reinterpreted with the understated character and attention to detail that define JELSDAL.

The Khaki version combines a timeless military colour with a clean, functional design. Made from durable nylon, the single-pass construction allows the watch to sit securely and comfortably on the wrist while maintaining the rugged simplicity of a traditional field strap.

Every detail is deliberately restrained. The strap is fitted exclusively with black hardware, available in both matte brushed and polished finishes, giving you the choice between a more understated or more distinctive look. The black hardware also creates a strong contrast against the Khaki nylon and complements both vintage and modern tool watches.

The Værløse strap is more than a military-inspired watch strap. It is a small piece of JELSDAL history, inspired by a place where our family story, Danish military aviation, and traditional craftsmanship came together.
