The Værløse strap is a tribute to Flyvestation Værløse, the former Danish military airbase north of Copenhagen, and to a piece of JELSDAL family history.

Our founder’s grandfather, Ib Jelsdal, worked as a blacksmith at the airbase, where traditional craftsmanship, precision and military aviation came together. This connection inspired the Værløse collection, drawing on the simple, functional design of classic military aviation straps while giving it a distinctly JELSDAL character.

The Blue version combines a deep, understated blue with a rugged single-pass construction. Made from soft yet durable 1.2 mm nylon, the strap sits comfortably on the wrist while keeping the watch close to the skin. With only a single layer of nylon underneath the watch, it offers a slimmer profile than traditional two-piece-style straps.

The strap is fitted exclusively with black hardware, available in matte brushed or polished finishes. The black hardware gives the Blue nylon a purposeful, modern appearance while maintaining the understated character of the original military inspiration.

With 13 adjustment holes and a full length of 27 cm without the buckle, the Værløse is designed for a wide range of wrist sizes and everyday wear.

The Værløse strap is more than a military-inspired watch strap. It is a tribute to a place, a craft and a family story, connecting JELSDAL's Danish heritage with the functional spirit of military aviation.
