The Værløse strap is a tribute to Flyvestation Værløse, the former Danish military airbase where our founder’s grandfather, Ib Jelsdal, worked as a blacksmith.

Inspired by the functional simplicity of classic military aviation straps, the Værløse collection combines durable materials, understated design and traditional craftsmanship with a distinctly JELSDAL character.

The Blackout colourway takes the military aesthetic to its most understated form. Completely black and deliberately discreet, it has a purposeful, stealth-inspired character that works equally well with vintage field watches, modern tool watches and contemporary divers.

Made from premium soft and flat 1.2 mm nylon, the strap uses a classic single-pass construction. With only one layer of nylon beneath the watch, the case sits closer to the wrist than with a traditional two-layer-style strap. The result is a slim, lightweight, and comfortable fit for everyday wear.

The strap is available with black hardware, including both matte brushed and polished finishes, allowing you to choose between a subdued tactical appearance or a sharper, more refined look.

With 13 adjustment holes and a total length of 27 cm without the buckle, the Værløse provides a versatile fit across a wide range of wrists.

The Værløse Blackout is a modern interpretation of the classic military strap, rooted in Danish heritage, inspired by military aviation, and made for everyday use.
